The W808 has been extensively upgraded to the previous W801 robotic arm, which you can order through WITTMANN distributors around the world. The W808 has an integrated controller with a smaller footprint and a longer Z-axis stroke (up to 2000mm).

The W808 can withstand a payload of up to 3kg and is ideal for injection molding machines with a clamping force of no more than 150t.

This type of injection molding machine is especially suitable for use with the W808, which uses a highly dynamic servo drive on all three axes. The W808 features a fixed swing arm design with a reach of 600 mm. The W808 can have a horizontal stroke length of 1,250, 1,500 or 2,000 mm and a vertical stroke of 600, 800 or 1,000 mm. The W808 can also be retrofitted with vacuum and clamping devices.

The extremely short take-up time is critical to maintaining the highest productivity of automated production units, for example when producing thin-walled parts. The W818 and W818T robotic arms feature a sturdy and lightweight aluminum reinforced frame that is driven by a servo motor through a belt, thus reducing the mass of the movement.
With the dual-arm option, a servo motor-driven vertical arm and gripping fingers can be added to clean the material on the three-plate mold.

The basic design of the W818 is used with a spindle with 3 servo drives.
